| | | Re: Grey frog Could it have been in a drain? it could have damaged its skin and eye from chemicals in the water, like a burn. i have a frog in my pond at the moment that seems to have one cloudy eye. |

Apart from taking a rabbit with 'mixie' to be put to sleep by a vet, I don't know when to intervene. |

They are drenching a grassy patch daily to get it to grow more. Saying they will keep a look out incase any hide there.
But a daily dose of chlorinated water..... |

| | | Re: Grey frog Not really, if it is in a safe pond now it may recover, you could try putting small slugs near it to help it fatten up. |

| | | Re: Grey frog It's still alive. Has been out on the bank of the pond but is very slow. Was twitching a bit last night with head and back leg.
Haven't managed to get any small slugs. Where are they when you NEED them?
Was tempted to decant some pond water/weed etc off into a large bucket, put it in, to keep an eye on it.
But think I should leave well alone and not stress it any further.
Lady who had the pond is an organic gardener.
I do hope it survives. None more seen apparently, although I asked if she could leave a vessel out with water in it.
Praying for the little creature. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
