Most of the Marsh Frogs I've seen have been greenish, even saw one at Rainham that was an incredible turquoise.
ive only seen one and it was blackish but it hopped away as i neared...  |

Perhaps it had only recently emerged from hibernation. They often appear dark when they emerge + then green up
It's a very common species at some London sites so I have seen many. |

Hi All,
At least 6 maybe more, everytime I go down the garden plop, plop,
plop. They tend to sit on the rocks around the pond in the sun but
are very shy. Not herd any calling at all, if they spawn should I leave
it in the pond or get rid ? I am going to take a deck chair down the
garden at the weekend and sit still to get some photo's.

UPDATE
They are now calling very loud and we can hear them in another garden up
the road, some calls are like a long duck noise and the some calls are like
they are laughing  Deffo marsh frogs (I think) had a look on the net and
they look the same.
How can I shut them up ? |
