| | | Unknown eggs in nature pond..can anyone help Hi, i have just joined today as i was trying to find out about some eggs we found in our little nature pond. Hopefully someone will be able to tell me what they are. .. since the nice weather has arrived we have had a lot of activity in our ponds ..mainly the small nature pond....as there are no greedy koi in that one LOL.. frogs, newts, snails.. even small leach type things..( yuck ) The frogs have laid eggs which i recognise from when i was a nipper.. but there are larger eggs in there also. There jelly like..similer to the frog spawn..but slightly larger.. and instead of the little black dot inside.. theres a larger white milky dot. They are not really laid in bulk.. a few are clustered together but most are seperate.. they are beneath the water on the rocks under the rocks .. dead leaves and even on the blanket weed attached to the sides.. i have taken a few pics but have not worked it out how to get them on here as yet... but hopefully i can add them later. |

Sounds exactly like snail eggs... blobs of transparent jelly on leaves, stones, pond liner, in fact on anything at all in the pond! |
