| | Common Lizard?!!! Hi!
Im new here . Anyway, today i found an animal in my garden which i need the id of... quickly!! i think it's a common lizard as i live in sittingbourne nd a park very close has a population of lizards and apparently slow worms. it was just sitting at the bottom of my 5 ft fence in the sunlight before it ran away. It was brownish but scampered off as i neared! im really excited if a population lives in my garden !!! |

| | Re: Common Lizard?!!! We'll need a bit more info than that- a photo would be ideal + if not some information about your location, surrounding habitats.
Assuming it is a native species Common Lizard is by far the most likely + Slow Worms are frequent in large gardens. Have you just seen the one? |

| | | Re: Common Lizard?!!! Sorry i couldnt reply qwicker aeshna 5!!!!! i had trouble logging in i couldnt take a pic but i can tell u bout my surroundings. there's loads of houses bein built a bit further away down our road but the park just down the road is covered in grass, with a few hills covered in nettles. Log piles are scattered around the place and some stones and bricks r around 2. My garden is plain grass yet as i just moved in. But there r excellent places for basking too...
The lizard was brownish with a greenish hue and long tail. I couldnt get close enough to see anything else...
