Could frog spawn ever survive if the jelly kind of broke down and alot end up at the bottom with no jelly, just black full stops/commas?

It sounds as though the mini tadpoles have now emerged from the spawn.

I'm pretty sure they're dead. :c Oh well. I'll get more next week, or just tadpoles and take pictures of the progress They wont be as good as the super macro ones on here though :P

When they first emerge they are very inactive and just lay on the base of the pond, I would'nt write them off just yet.

Many are just dots though, I'm sure they'd be a little bigger/longer/more tadpole shaped :/ And a few have white spheres around them (not the jelly, I think it's the actual egg). I'm gonna keep changing the water and just see if I get even just one tadpole.

I wouldn't do this as you going to cause unnecessary disturbance which will hinder rather than help them.

I would leave them and watch as nature takes its course, changing the water wont make any difference if they were dead. They will become active over the next week. This will happen more quickly if the weather (temperature) is warm.

I agree with Dogghound - best to just wait and see what happens, rather than trying to intervene.

where have you got them from..
Where would you just get some more from..

As others have said the gel sort of disintegrates they eat this they will be little wriggles if you look carefully are they outside or inside.
Is there any plants with them..
