New plan to stop toad crossing massacre, but need this boards members

I am at my wits end on this large toad crossing, and i have decided that i really do need help from non locals (the locals are utterly apathetic, despite some limited press and radio coverage of this large and rare toad migration).

please refer to this thread, and the recent update thread, and spread them far and wide----------

Please can everyone send this thread to all the animal /wildlife forums/organizations they are a member of, and also to copeland council, you have my blessing to send all the thread, word for word, even to international forums.

copeland council must be contacted by as many people as possible, and these people must state that they will not visit as a tourist (and will inform all their friends not to) until this indolent uncaring council puts up toad crossing signs on mirehouse road and the st bees road, and the council must also do its best to publicize this toad migration (via press/leaflets etc), cos at the moment they do nothing at all.

maybe if enough people pester them or send my threads/info, then the council will get its act together (cos they will lose far more money cos of people boycotting the town than it will cost to put up a few bloody toad signs !, that will make the indolents at the council think about their apathy and negligence).

Hi dp, your plight and pleas have really tugged at my heartstrings. I sent an email to Copeland Borough Council highlighting the toad migration carnage at the two crossing points, and received a reply back within an hour! They only addressed my request for Toad Signs, none of the other points I raised, but hopefully it’s a start in the right direction.

Sorry I can’t do more to help. Keep up the fantastic work you’re doing and best of luck with your campaign.
