Dead frogs swollen looks like spawn

I've just fished two dead frogs out of my pond, neither floating. They were belly up, and on either side of their bodies they had mounds of opaque jelly stuff that looked like frog spawn without the black dots. Any idea what killed them? Will it kill others? There were a bit slimy too.

Probably dead and the stuff could be fungus growing on the bodies

Not pleasant but where there's life there's death... not necessarily a sign of foul play)
