Underwater Toad photos

The third is one of the first ones I took so it's before I disturbed the bottom too much.

Mind you, it's fairly mucky to start with - just look at the tide mark on this goose...

Any evidence of Toad activity makes my day lovely lovely pictures pressld2 I have 1 female and 3 males still in my pond (i hope) that i found on the pathway on the wettish night of the 15 th march trying to get to my neighbours pond which has sadly been filled in now ...they made a load of noise on their fist night in my pond ....since then saw a couple of them 2 nights running and now since the frosts and very cold nights nothing so the Toads near you obviously have not been put off by the cold nights going by your pics ...and last year the few Toads i found arrived on the same night as the frogs did a very wet 18 th march ...so have got my fingers crossed that a mild rainy night will soon arrive and another female will activate things a bit ...as it seems the Surrey toads are acting like a load of wimps Marion
