| | | Frogs in concrete garden??? I have a phobia of frogs always have done as little girl.. Today i waiting for my 3 year old to come back from nursery school.. looked out window an seen a rather large frog hopping about my front garden i have a concrete garden front and back no plants or puddles . I was wondering how on earth it got there and is there a chance that there could be more.. i had to get my grandfather to remove it and place it in a large garden at top of my street |

| | | Re: Frogs in concrete garden??? I am sure this frog was just passing through on its way to a local pond. At this time of year frogs often travel some distance in their biological need to find a mate and procreate. Unless your neighbours have a pond, which might encourage a few amorous frogs, I would say that your concreted garden has very little to offer these moisture loving amphibians. |

| | | Re: Frogs in concrete garden??? Hi mairead my friend tresa is just like you ..absolutely terrified it has obviously got under the fence or gate on its journey to find a pond to spawn in i know its hard but try not to worry as they cannot harm you ...if it can get in it can get back out !! and frogs and toads can travel a long old way to reach the pond of choice ..the chances are with the temperature going up and rain as well that lots of frogs will be out and about perhaps you could get a large bucket and try and encourage your 3 year old to pop it in it and release it in a safe place nearby ....and hopefully you can stay calm and he will see there is nothing to fear ..and then perhaps the fear wont be passed onto him ....i know its difficult and its fine me saying what to do ....but at least you have your grandad to fall back on ...good luck ...Marion Ps it wont stay long as you dont have what he is looking for
