Toad and Newt Identification

Hi all,

My mum was tidying her garden and found a toad which she believes could be a natterjack, can someone help identify it and if it is a natterjack are there any implications or things she needs to do as I understand they are protected.



The other mystery resident was this newt, apologies for the poor picture quality as the camera was on video mode and I had to make screen shots from it :

It's a Common Frog

First definitely a Common Frog + newt I think is a Smooth Newt from what I can see of the image.

Agreed definitely common frog. I'd also agree its most likely a smooth newt.
