Deformed frog?

Hi, just discovered a bizarre-looking frog in the back garden. It appears to have abnormally prominent pelvis bones sticking out of its back:



Is this normal? And if not does anyone know why it may have developed like this?

This is perfectly normal, these pelvic bones are often prominent especially in males. Nice photo too.

Thanks Dogghound; I was rather worried about him at first but perhaps it looked even more pronounced because he was so skinny. And he seemed to be jumping fine.

Yes, it is rather a nice picture! I thought about taking the glory for it but actually Father Nature took it on his mobile phone!
