| | | Frogs in buckets Why? Just WHY? I despair.
You are out there minding your own business providing for all manner of God's little creatures in the best way that you can, and then there it is. Again. Another year running. Another frog caught in a bucket of water.
Today's little fellow was probably on his last legs. (I was that close to attempting mouth-to-mouth, but I heard you shouldn't kiss them as you never know what horrible things might happen).
Do I not give them plenty of water in the form of bogs and ponds already? How do they do this? Why do they do this?
Just WHY?

| | | Re: Frogs in buckets As Oscar Wilde once said frogs have an insatiable curiosity to know everything, except what is worth knowing.
PS I am forever hoiking them out of my dogs water bowl where they compete with ground beetles to see who can drown first. |

| | | Re: Frogs in buckets I had one in a watering can - the sort with a collar about 6" x 2" - so how on earth it got in there? Luckily not too much water in it.

| | | Re: Frogs in buckets My mum in law keeps finding one in the filter box for her pond. No idea how it gets in there - close fitting lid too heavy to lift, pump has a filter on it so its not being sucked in there, and the outlet pipe back into the pond is atleast 6 inches above water level. Yet every few weeks when she checks the filter, she rescues him, puts him back in the pond and low and behold he is back there again. She swears its the same one each time! |

| | | Re: Frogs in buckets If anyone wants to try to crossing a frog with a sheep, don't bother. Both have death as a goal and a hobby, and they are so good at it.
A freep or a shog? Your choice, but don't try it.

She must have been aiming for a new world record or something. |
