Frog in herb garden!

My garden is no-where near any water or pond or anything, but found a beautiful full grown frog in my herb garden this morning. As the sun came out, I covered him with leaves and sprayed with water from the water butt to keep him moist. When the rain started later, he hopped out across the lawn and disappeared...hope that he ok and that i didn't do anything to harm him??

frogs and newts spend most ofther time on land hiding in vegitation etc its natrual so no you did not do any thing wrong

in fact you did the right thing

Never mind the garden, i had a toad in the house the other evening, went to put the dog to bed and he immediately charged towards the freezer and started scrabbling around.

When i went to investigate, there just below and under the front of the freezer was a young toad peering out with a look of bewilderment on its face, really funny.

Needless to say he or she is now in the garden and the dog has settled down.
