| | | Advice about Slow Worms needed I have two Slow Worms that were caught by my cat a few weeks ago, both were slightly injured, one had some wounds from teeth/claws and the other had shed it's tail. They are both ok now and seem very healthy so I wanted to release them. I'm reluctant to release them back into my garden as I'm sure my cat will catch them again so I thought it might be better to release them at a local nature reserve about half a mile away. I contacted the local wildlife trust for advice and they said it would be best to release them back where I found them rather than relocate them. Now I'm not sure what to do, I would hate to put them back in my garden only for them to be caught again and injured or possibly killed but I understand why they advised me not to relocate them. Any advice would be gratefully received.

| | | Re: Advice about Slow Worms needed I have thoroughly enjoyed looking after them and it's really nice to see them all healed up and healthy.
Thanks for your advice, I will release them at the weekend and keep the cat in for a few hours to give them a chance. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
