Red Toad

Help needed to put my mind a rest, as not fin ding any help elsewhere. Found a small red taod about the size of a large thumb nail, in grassland on my plant nursery, it wasnt bright red, more slightly dull, its underneath was more grey but had distinct red spots around its rear circling it.

Common Toads are variable in colour and can be a brick-red colour sometimes too.

i have a 2 yr old toad and he lives under old logs in my garden with 3 little toads from last yr and he is really red ...in fact thats what i call him (i have to name EVERYTHING!!!)'' little red '' then there is'' little brown ''.... '' medium brown ''and '' tichy brown ''....well i just ran out of names ...but i know which ones which !! Marion
