| | | Smooth Snake future... Are there any plans of spreading the population further afield than just the South/Southwest? Thetford Forest/Rendlesham have perfect locations. Lots of sandy heaths etc.. |

| | | Re: Smooth Snake future... I don't know if such plans exist. But if they did you would first need somewhere with a suitable food source which in the case of the Smooth Snake is the Common Lizard, Slow-worms and particularly Sand Lizards.
I don't know of any Smooth Snake sites where there are no Sand Lizards. The two always seem to go 'hand-in-hand'
So then you would need a suitable habitat and food supply for the Sand Lizards etc. etc.
