Newts breeding ?

For about a month now I have seen a lone newt in the pond but yesterday I saw two could this be mating or is it to late?

Certainly not too late! Maybe they will be a pair + breed?

Were they doing any interacting- dancing, tail flicking or fanning?
Did they look like a male and female (ie different)
Were they just hanging in the water feeding, or moving around or writhing among surface pondplants?

Go out tonight with a torch and watch the pond. Hopefully you will see more. Watch where you walk though as they hunt on land.

. I went out last night and they seem to be following each other around and yes they were moving around the surface pond weed I am not sure if its a male female but one is darker than the other

Mine are still displaying and mating.
Females often are paler or browner than the males, but colour tone can also depend on how recently they have shed their skin.
