Rescued this lot of spawn from my koi pond which is having a major puncture(s!) crisis  . The plant became more exposed so I saw them. Quickly transferred to wildlife pond, hopefully, they haven't dried out too much. Sorry I know the pics aren't great but can anyone help? Looking at them I think they might be toads but isn't a little early for them (considering where I live)?

Not the clearest of images, but does appear to be the paired string of Common Toad. |

Thanks guys, never seen either type of spawn before so didn't want to rely on my id skills. It was cold out Aeshna & quite dull so I didn't hang about 
I'm very excited to have any spawn at all as the mating pairs I saw (Probably toads now, thought they were froggies ) decided to mate in a pond full of huge hungry Koi, instead of a specially made wildlife pond (ungrateful creatures  !)

Glad you rescued them cowgirl. Koi are rather partial to frog/toad spawn.  |

I think they look like toad spawn as well. The pic seems to show string like spawn, rather than a mass. Good luck with them
