| | Slow worms I was on holiday in guildford near London and I went to a nature reserve called pulbourogh brooks. Where I saw five adders basking which were so close you could reach out and touch them. Then I went to a hide overlooking the brooks I lent out of the window and looked down in the grass. There was a grass snake sitting there. Eventually it dissapeared into the undergrowth and I headed back. The next day I went to Thursley common nature reserve and I saw common lizards basking on the boardwalk and I saw a grass snake swimming across the lake. Then on the way back we spotted an old laybay which people used as a rubbish tip so the people who owned it closed it off we thought we might see a slow worm hiding in there so we went in. We looked under wood in bags full of dead plants butt then I spotted a pile of compost my dad got a brush handle and dug in and there in the heap was a slow worm I picked it up and looked at its face it was so cute after seeing that one I want to see another please can anyone tell me where to look for them around warrington? |

| | | Re: Slow worms hi
sounds like you had a great time!
i'm afraid you won't find any slowworms near warrington. i suspect north wales will be your best bet. there are sites near mold which you could get to within an hour by car.
happy hunting.
