| | | Small toad? I have just found this little one in an old dark, damp outbuilding; body length about 40mm ish, dark brown and it was crawling around quite slowly. Looks like it's been through loads of cobwebs! Is it a small toad?

| | | Re: Small toad? I suppose it must have been hibernating in the shed, and just emerged from the cobwebs. Are they usually that small?

| | | Re: Small toad? So it's a youngish one, that's good will keep an eye on it incase it gets completely lost in the cobwebs.

| | Re: Small toad? Has he still got cobwebs on him? maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't it be a good idea to gently wipe them off with a damp sponge, or would the stress of being handled or touched outweigh the good it did him?...Experts? |

| | | Re: Small toad? They definitely were cobwebs, I did go back later and see if I could find it but it had gone walkabouts, hopefully to a nearby pond. I will keep my eyes open though incase it returns.
