| | | Adders at Allerthorpe Common, Yorkshire I've never seen an adder, and I have heard that Allerthorpe common is a pretty good place to see them. I was thinking of going next week to have a look around. Any advice about where and how to look? |

Most of Allerthorpe common is taken up by a Forestry commission conifer plantation. But if you look on the part of the common nearest to the village which has been left untouched you stand a good chance of seeing them basking in the sun shine. There is also an area of Reclaimed heath between there and the wood where you may also find them.
Happy Hunting
