Frogs and a barrel pond, 4 years on.

I got this barrel 4 years ago now..
The first season two frogs spawned in there. This pic is not very clear but you can see there are 5 or 6 frogs visible.



4 years on..









There are 12 frogs in this barrel now and 3 lots of spawn so I am thinking of making another pond we have a pond but toads and newts breed there but the frogs don't so would they breed in a new pond or still use the barrel.

A little off topic, but is there some Equisetum in your pond? Beautiful, ancient plant! The last frog picture is awesome as well!

I was looking at the pics on this thread, and saw another pic of an orange common frog. was she really orange colour, or was it a trick of the light....

Would it work if you put spawn from the barrel pond into the new pond? Not this year obviously as it's too late...

Yes they are awesome, there's something about frogs and toads that makes me smile and feel good.
