| | | Spring Slow-worms 2010 I saw my first Slow-worm on 21/03/10.I haven't seen much mention this spring of Slow-worms on WAB,so far (for whatever reason).
I'd be interested to know if anyone else is seeing them yet.
Cheers Jason |

| | | Re: Spring Slow-worms 2010 I saw a slow worm yesterday here.
At first we thought it was a snake and then I realised it might be a slow worm so googled it.
First time seen one live, it didn't seem to be able to wriggle away very fast! |

| | | Re: Spring Slow-worms 2010 I have some visit my garden, I m watching out for them, but hav'nt seen any yet, I was surprised to find one living in my garage a few years ago, and last year I found one in the bunny den which has a paving stone floor on soil with lots of gaps and holes, so I think it was a safe place for them to live under the paving stone.
My bunnies have all passed on now so may make a sunny place for them in the den, and a compost heap which they seem to like.
Nice to hear they are out and about, thought it was a bit early for them. Pauline. |

If the solar radiation's low, slow worms will struggle to warm up and run around, so it was quite brave/foolhardy of your little squirmy friend to be out at all. Bet it was sunny there today?
Haven't seen any here in South Wiltshire as yet. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
