| | Re: Unidentified melanistic Snake in Cantabria, Spain I saw one of these today, May 31st 2010, on the street. I was driving from Zurgena, to, La Alfouquia (northern Almeria) over the viaduct of the Zaramosa River. It was about 1 and 1 half meters, black (and silvery when it moved) Today was warm 34 degrees. I slowed down to get a better look, but it was quite fast and went over the edge.
