| | | Any spawn yet? In Cornwall, we have had spawn in our pond before Christmas some years. As we tend to get our coldest spell of weather and most frosts in Jan/Feb, often the first lots don't survive. We took our pond leaf net off this week, so any interested frogs/toads etc can get in the pond without fear of getting tangled. We have a very cold spell here at the moment, the same as most of the country, but I was just curious if anyone has seen any yet? |

We are in mid-Cornwall not far from Bodmin, and heard frogs calling at the weekend. Saw our first spawn on Monday 1 Feb. I went out with a torch last night and counted 17 frogs in our pond, that is not counting the ones that dashed for cover when they saw the light. |
