| | | Do frogs eat pond snails? Hi All ~
I introduced a dozen or so snails to our little pond in Spring, and they seemed to thrive ... however a visiting frog has been making use of the pond and the snails have disappeared. Could our visitor have perhaps made a meal of them ... and if so how has he/she coped with the shells?
Here's the frog:
Sorry the photo is tiny, but I received a message to say that the 2nd link was too large and 'thumbnails' only were to be used in posts (?) I *think* it is a Common Frog though?
Bestest,
Paula. |

I have a pond full of frogs but also full of ramshorn snails, the frog will eat some but I'm sure the rest are just dossing around the pond somewhere, in a natural habitat they live together sucessfully. Ramshorn produce offspring prolifically btw so a good choice.
