| | | Corrugated plastic roofing sheet Out in the New Forest sometime ago and i noticed two bits of roofing sheet laying in some brambles a few yards apart, either put their by Forestry staff or deposited at some stage by the wind, every time i walk by that spot i gently lift up the sheets to see if anything is underneath, until today not one reptile in over a year, looked today and a nice medium size grass snake was tucked up, of course i didnt have the camera ready but guess i will be looking under that sheet again sometime soon and maybe there will be a larger population of reptiles there.
Always something happening in the wildlife world, its just that most people don't notice.

I wonder if the roofing was transparent, would it work, or would the reptiles realise that they could be seen? It certainly would get nice and warm in the makeshift "greenhouse".

| | | Re: Corrugated plastic roofing sheet The Grass Snake we had in the garden alternated between a big roof tile
and a 3'x2' flat stone. I have some plastic roofing and will give it a go

Not too keen on putting metal corrugated down, it turns all rusty and sharp for kids and wildlife, you know it's there but in two years time ?.
Max.
