| | | Grass snake in my garden. Found this fiesty little chap in my back garden at the weekend. He was all of 7 inches long, and about the same thickness as a bootlace. I had never seen a grass snake before, such a privilege to have one on my doorstep! |

| | | Re: Grass snake in my garden. No compost heap, but I do have a nice warm greenhouse where nothing much happens, and next door have a field for a lawn!
As often happens, I saw this as I was looking at something else. My cat had cornered a Wood mouse, and in the process of the rescue the grass snake emerged from behind a flower pot.
Not knowing what it was, I maneuvered it into the ice-cream tub, put the lid on quick and did a quick Google. I'm quite glad it was a baby and not its Mum! |

| | | Re: Grass snake in my garden. That is a super find, they are so wick that all I ever get is a glimpse of a yellow collar and that is it.
Now, if you were Bear Grylls, you would rip it's head off and eat it.
Be prepared!
