lol Thanks Hedgewitch! My first ones from home laid spawn. A real sense of achievement (and a lot less painful than giving birth oneself ).

Now I have to keep those newts away from my precious little babies

Ruth, I have some very new spawn too, so that will be some time yet. The weather has been quite mild the last week down here (Kent) so we have been lucky!

Its OK Ruth you are not alone as I am probably not far from you in Warrington! My frogs are producing spwan at the moment!

I found lots of spawn in a muddy puddle today on my local patch, lots of adult frogs too, will upload some pictures later.

So did I, well it was a village pond, not a puddle - I was astounded be the sheer amount of spawn.
