| | | Bucket or pond? Hi,
As I have a small amount of frog spawn in one pond what do you reckon I should do?:
a) leave it all alone and let nature run its course
b) take a small amount and place in a bucket and give a helping hand
c) move some to the other pond
Any views appreciated.......
Oh and in the pond without spawn a poor sole female is on day 3 of having a lot of males hang on to her......... |

| | | Re: Bucket or pond? again camberly, these things are best left to develop by themselves, I would imagine if they have only laid eggs in 1 pond, there must be some reason, maybe the fish cues are still strong in the other pond so they are avoiding it.
I would definately let the spawn develop in the pond rather than a bucket, apart from anything else, the pond will contain food, etc etc.
Best left alone and admired. |

| | | Re: Bucket or pond? Pond it is then....I have just spotted two new sets of spawn....
The one
the second picture has spawn that is different from the rest - they are smaller spawn - is this because it has yet to develop a harder 'shell' or is this from a different species??? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
