last nite around 8pm a mass of frogs came to my garden i counted 6 then more and more i stoped counting at around 15 we have never had frogs in our pond before so it was quite exciting

im hoping for frogspawn soon .i thought it would have been to early for them but i guess the mild weather has bought them out.

Oh err, back to the point then! Sounds nice, how long have you had the pond then? I'm sure they will spawn for you, then you'll have the pleasure of seeing tadpoles and froglings, etc.!

ive had my pond around 3 years now first year for frogs though . they all seemed to disapper this morning is this normal or do you think something has scared them off im hoping they will return again tonite

Yep, they are most likely in your pond or resting in a dark corner under stones, wood, etc. They are often out looking for insects/snails/slugs in the evening and at night, which is presumably when you saw them. Look again tonight - good luck!

I'm yet to join the I'VE GOT A FROG CLUB!!! lol

but my ponds are also in their THIRD year so this gives me so much hope!!

I counted c30 frogs in my pond yesterday, masses of spawn balls + at least 1 Smooth Newt today.

Ours have been spawning today as well

too many to count and loads of noise.

I'm astounded!

I think they've been sitting there under the water with a calendar, ticking off the days until March 1st. I spotted over a dozen in my pond today, several in amplexus and one glob of spawn. I'm just south of Glasgow and we only lost the freezing conditions two weeks ago.

There were loads of croaks sounding out from the pond too as they tried to convince others to "Come on in, it's fine!"
