saw my first frog last saturday and sunday morning a small clump of spawn appeared and another yesterday and the same today but no sign of any frogs just more spawn every day!

I saw my first two frogs of the year on the sunday (1st of March). I think, judging by their bluish throats and robust front legs, they are two early males taking positions in wait for the females. No trace of spawn yet!



The rumbling sound of mating frogs is one of my favourite signs of spring!

im worried i started off with 15 frogs on friday and each day there seems to be less and less and they havent spawned .does anyone know what could have happened to them and why they havent spawned ???

I guess spawning is a big decision for them. A heavy frost and they lose out so they have probably delayed until the cold snap is gone. Don't worry!
