I just did a search for "TOAD CROSSING" on google earth and the only thing it came up with was a Northumbria Police Station...
The file you need to download to see the crossings is located on Froglife.org
I was sure there's be a crossing near my local Nature Reserve because judging by the amount of toadpoles last year there must be a decent population of toads in the area,. and although one side is the reserve there with plenty grass/wood land, there is a main road 100 yards away from the 'lake' on the other side.
Once the weather warms up a bit im gonna go check it out, was up there last week but didn't see anything, no frogs or toads, not even any fish so still too early up here me thinks. |
