| | | Sand lizard photo taken 080708 Wales?? Hello all, I have been breeding the Merseyside race of sand lizard under licence on behalf of the Herpetological Conservation Trust for the past 7 years in an effort to restore the species to its former haunts , and whilst looking at the Gallery section of of this forum I came across a photo of a female sand lizard . I would like to know who took the photo and which site it was taken on ,just the nearest town or village would do PM me if you prefer . I am assuming that the photo was taken at one of the re- intro sites ?? ,Thanks in advance, |

As far as the photograph goes, you'll find the name to the bottom left of a box below the photograph. Alternatively, post a link to the page below and I'll see if I can help further with regards to getting you in contact. |

| | | Re: Sand lizard photo taken 080708 Wales?? Just interested to know why you think they are introduced ones? We have sandlizards on the heaths around my village in Dorset. This picture was taken last summer when I was looking for solitary wasps. Unfortunately it's dead... but we do have a "healthy" population as well! |

| | | Re: Sand lizard photo taken 080708 Wales?? Hi to every one again , and many thanks for all the replys. The reason that I think the lizard is from introduced Merseyside stock is because as far as we are aware there are no natural populations of sand lizards in wales . I would love to be proven wrong on this matter though ! |
