frogs galore

i just went down the garden to shut up my chickens and the path was alive with frogs i did'nt realise there were so many about in the garden we usually see a few but tonights rain must have bought them out good to see so many

You got me thinking epops - is 2008 an unusual year for frogs?

Thinking back, I have seen frogs this year at nearly all of my wildflower - fungi hunting locations.

The wet woodlands around here seem to be over-run with them

Good news for the full eco-system / food chain I assume.

I would love to see a frog in my garden

We did have a toad once before we had the ponds!!!!

OOOOh i hope not I've been very careful with my bouncing of late

Anyway I'm thinking possitive now as it's been TWO years since i started my TWO PONDS and I've decided that 2009 is hopefully going to be the YEAR OF THE FROG in BOUNCYS GARDEN???!!!!

Well one can dream i suppose....

I have never seen a frog in my current garden

. But every spring I have to save a Toad that gets into my drain and can't climb out. I saw it come up out of the ground under my front window one year. I think it heads for the pond in the field opposite my place.

You could make it a lttltle ramp to get out but then again if TOADIE can get out RATTIE can get in!!!!!!!!!!!
