Thanks for the extra info.
Does anybody know how quickly they grow? The small one is 6 or 7 inches long, and I'd be interested to have an idea of their age, and how long it will take to be fully grown.
Another question: do they not hibernate in captivity?
I can't get over how lucky I am to have been given them, they are so beautiful |

I can't get over how lucky I am to have been given them, they are so beautiful | i dont think they'll hibernate in captivity unless you put them outside. they can live up to 40 yrs but im not sure how long it takes for them to be adults. they will like to burrow in mud and can grow 3 ft long maximum though that is quite rare.
