When is the normal breeding time? This is the reddest frog I have ever seen and in my garden. This was on the 1st July.

This frog is fine, a perfectly normal form of colouring. Its also quite an old individual. Common frogs Rana temporia usually breed between late feb to april, however they have been know to breed from feb rite the way through until august. The breeding season is longer in the south especially during cooler years. The red is usually on the flanks of the females, but can occur all over the body.
