I'm quite pleased as it is my first amphibian find for the reserve
It was very lifeless and it let me pick it up to photograph it , is this normal ?
I check the cupboard door every month or so , last time there was a nest of Voles , to -day the Newt and a Frog , there are always Red Ants which surprises me as I thought they would attack any neighbours ? |

I believe it may have been settling into hibernation? They start in October, so maybe the wet weather we've been having of late made it hibernate early?
If you can think of anywhere equally safe, consider releasing it there. |
