Common Wall Lizard?

I think these are Common Wall Lizards although these shots show them on the timber railings of a bridge at Fen Drayton Lakes.

At first I wondered what it was that I had seen

not quite common wall lizards. they are young common lizards. they are very nice though.

Look like young Common (Viviparous) Lizards to me.

I have a garden wildlife of Britain and Europe book by Chinery that has one lizard; but if I had read the blurb, I would have realised that the wall lizard is a foreigner.

I will check out the Richard Lewington book.

they are beautiful little things aren't they. they look like they're at least a couple of weeks ahead of our staffs ones.
