| | | Re: Is this a Smooth Snake ? Smooth snakes are mostly secretive but males are often seen crossing open ground. Although they are described as UKs rarest reptiles they can be abundant in some locations, i.e. Purbeck & Wareham, and of couirse Uptin Heath which I know well. In some areas they equal or outnumber the adder.
