| | | Frog advice Hi
I have been keeping tadpoles in a container and they are now turning into baby frogs (although still with tails). I have transferred about 15 into my pond so far but they have all disappeared. I have a few large fish in the pond as well as newts. Would these have eaten them?
Should I keep the froglets in the container for longer until they are bigger and have lost their tails?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks |

I had great diving beetles killing but not eating all the tiny fully formed toads last year as they were trying to leave the pond..
I had to step in and help them out.
Something I don't normally do as nature should be left alone.
But there are exceptions like this.
Ps

Make sure they have something to climb out on to in the container, then I'd release these on a rainy or humid day in a quiet, damp corner of the garden. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
