Froglet hari-kari!!!

My pond has become the suicide capital of the north east. At first I thought the birds were catching the tadpoles/ froglets for fun, I tried to put a stop to that, but now I find my froglets are climbing out of the pond and dying by the 10's on the patio. I have tried keeping the patio wet. Does anyone have any suggestions. This year has been (up to now) the most successful year for our tadpoles. Please help!!!

do you have any old towels?
wet them and put them over the patio this should help especially during a warm part of the day.....

just been out and rescued another 3 froglets, I will try with the towels tomorrow. They all end up dead on their backs, the 3 I just washed down seem to have had a lucky escape. Why do they end up on their backs? Is it because they still have their tails? Kinda dreading comung down in the morning to see

I had similar problem : Froglets in mortal danger from pond edging.

I's not nice to find their little dried bodies. The clingfilm I used is working, but blows around a bit. Not sure that it would be suitable for your situation!

I had the same problem last year with tiny toads drying up on the gravel. I kept wetting it and that helped. Now I have creeping plants growing over the gravel this year.
