And if the information the shop selling them is not good enough or accurate enough why are they selling them.. They may be only toads/frogs but at the end of the day ignorance of the care and feeding of the creatures can make them suffer..
I apologise if I have misread this thread but as someone else mentioned, a thorough study of what these animals would need should have been done before setting foot into the shop to buy them.
Good Luck in your search for knowledge sorry I could not offer any care advice and I do realise that you are asking because you want to care for them..

| | | Re: red belly an tomato toads Easyrider mate it is YOU that keeps missing the point...this is a forum for BRITISH WILDLIFE and therefore the most unlikely place to be able to firstly get advice on a PET (and therefore not WILDlife) and secondly an exotic non english pet at that!!
I agree with all that the others have said regarding buying something and THEN trying to find out information and advice about it.
And your reply of "Not one person that has replied has actually got toads" is so proving OUR POINT it is utterly laughable....i shouldnt think one person on WILD ABOUT BRITAIN (BRITISH WILDLIFE) has actually got a pet orangutang or clouded leopard either but thankfully we dont get too many people coming on here for advice on keeping one in a cage in their bedroom.
We are not a domestic/exotic pet advice forum and dont claim to be...we mostly (bar a few dog owners) like our wildlife to be outdoors and non confined and the HUGE key point in all of this that you so beautifully missed is the word BRITISH!!
