not feeding them anything and funnily enough we still have loads of taddies still in the pond and at all different stages of development...some only just with back legs as well .

| | | Re: first froglet of the year Yup, mine started hopping about just over a week ago. There are dozens all over the place in the garden now. From now on cutting the grass will be carnage. |

I suppose they might nibble one or two froglets as they forage and the lawn's looking rather patchy as they're in a rectangular run I move on to longer grass every couple of days, but my conscience is clearer! (And I don't spend so much on cavy food )

| | | Re: first froglet of the year my first froglets came just over 2 weeks ago now ...still have a few with just back legs tho ....and finally a few of my toadpoles have got their back legs although some of the toadpoles are still very tiny ....this time last yr some were just turning into little toads ....they are well behind ...i think it was the easter snow we had and it was a second lot of spawn ...still i am enjoying watching it all develop before my eyes each day ....and with all of this recent hot weather soem of my older bigger toads have returned to their old haunts ...which is lovely .....marion
