| | | Adder Time Because so many of you liked my Grass Snake pictures, i thought i would post some Adder shots i got early in the Spring.
Before you ask, "Why aren't they in the Gallery?" I have tried but they keep getting rejected. I've spent a couple of hours yesterday and today i gave them the correct title format, the second time i tried to upload them individually. they did come up on my profile page for a while as a thumbnail so i know they uploaded succesfully???? If i sound frustrated thats because i am.
Maybe the shots aren't good enough or i'm going wrong somewhere
Anyway i ramble.....The shots;
The first shot was the result of a couple of hours layed on my front, gradually getting the adders used to my presence, it was taken with a 100mm macro lens literally inches from it. It was very rewarding spending so much time "as an Adder" becoming accepted, approached and trusted. And then leaving in the same spot i found them, without having disturbed them.
No photographer was harmed in getting these shots
These should be proof enough as to what a gentle and beautiful creature Adders are.

| | | Re: Adder Time Good shots. I agree with you about them being gentle creatures. I'm able to get very close to them in the wild, close enough to touch them. Even my children get up close to them, they're fantastic animals.
