I saw this today at Woods Mill in Sussex. The first time I've seen a snake in nature, so a good moment. I presume it's a grass snake but would appreciate confirmation.

That yellow neck is very distinctive. Looks quite large, any indication of size? |

I'm terrible with judging size and I've been trying to work it out with a ruler on my desk here, but I'd reckon about 3 foot. This shot may help.  |
