| | | Re: What a lovely slow worm Thanks, I have heared 2 conflicting rumors about blue spotted slow worms, one says they are only found in the south, where this this one is, and other people say they can be found all over the UK, i kinda hope its the latter because then everyone will be able to see a lovely blue spotted slowie.
I have seen countless slowies but this is the only blue speckled one i have seen, so i dont think they are to common so it was a really nice find! |

| | | Re: What a lovely slow worm A couple that I have found recently in my garden in Bristol have been blue spotted - they looked to be very mature so I don't know if it's something which comes with age perhaps? |

| | | Re: What a lovely slow worm Hi Vipera, very nice pic. I photographed a few slow-worms + grass snakes up at Hay Bridge Reserve in Cumbria last month that I posted on the sister site WATW. Some had blue spotting on them, probably more visible on the top photo. So the blue spotted ones are probably not just confined to the south.
