food for newts to buy?

do pet / rep shops sell newt food, like baby slugs etc
in the hotter weather its getting a bit more scarce to find baby slugs etc

what food available to by would newtiers suggest to buy for them?

is newtiers a word?, ........ is now

I got some dried bloodworm from the fish shop. It is to feed my tadpoles..You could try this or chop some worms up I have a compost bin full of worms.

Are your newts in a tank or are they in the garden? If the latter they'll have no problem finding their own food!

You could try growing slug food i.e lettuces and legumes i.e lupins if you want slugs in your garden

Yep, if they are in your pond I don't think they would be there if there wasn't enough natural food. If they are in a tank you can get food from here.

my aquatic caecilians take frozen bloodworm (deforsted first of course!). Its avalible from aquatic shops

Newtlets (!) in an aquarium soon learn to take frozen bloodworm,GC newtlets soon learn to take each others tails,they are incredilbly voracious even as tadpoles.
