Guided walks

Hi all, I'd really like to photograph some reptiles. Reading some of the posts here, barring a few, most struggle like I do in finding them. What I've found useful with fungi hunting, was to join a guided walk - it (the guide I should say) taught me where to look and recognise the habitats.

So I'd like to join some walks if there's any. Does anyone know of some guided walks happening soon? Preferrably within 100 miles of Leicestershire. Or are there any experts here that don't mind a keen photographer tagging along with them??

i'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but narrs are currently running training events to help people carry out amphibian and reptile surveys this spring. the training events include some identification work but most also include some fieldwork. you'd learn loads about how to see reptiles in the wild and, assuming the conditions are favourable, there's a pretty good chance you'd see something on the day also.

you could then sign up for the survey and practice your new skills while helping out as well.
