Adder photograghed at Hickling Reserve Norfolk. 17th February

This was probably my earliest adder sighting ever- For Norfolk anyway!
At 11am in the morning on Sunday the 17th February 2008 , a bitterly cold day but nevertheless a sunny one an adder was sunning itself on Norfolk Reed in the Hickling Nature Reserve in Norfolk.

Always great to see them and I even get a buzz everytime someone else has a sighting. feb is early but they do come out to bask even in Winter sometimes. I will be off to my fave Adder site in a few weeks, it's the best time of the year to see them.
